Enhancing Effectivity of Strategic Planning and Management of Urban Development in Uherské Hradiště

MEPCO provides managerial and educational services in the project. It aims at development of strategic planning process with an emphasis on utilization of quality management method-  Balanced Scorecard (BSC). In practice, it is represented primarily by an analysis of the current situation in relation to the strategic process, creation and update of the methodology along with appropriate indicators, as well as implementation support. MEPCO also provides educational activities provided for the heads of departments, elected officials and individual users.

 Integrated Development Plan of Park Rochus– A Study

An elaborated integrated plan is a basic strategic document of the holder of the plan (i.e. of the town) for a sensitive development of the site of Park Rochus with a maximum employment of external financial resources. The plan aims at optimal linkage of soft and investment projects, embedding them in a time schedule and establishing local partnerships suitable for their realization.

 Integrated Development Plan for the Town of Vsetín

The company MEPCO elaborated the Integrated Development Plan for the town of Vsetín on the basis of the Methodical instructions for the main principles of preparation, evaluation, and approval process of the Integrated Development Plan, and also on the basis of the Integrated Operational Programme “Sídliště” (“Housing Estates”), including the implementing documents, handbook for the applicants, and handbook for the applicants and beneficiaries, and also including the SWOT analysis, analysis of target goals, measures, activities, risk analysis, and fulfilling the indicators. The aim was the improvement of living conditions of the inhabitants of the appointed housing zone, improvement of living standards, improvements of the public areas, and improvement of the image of the town.

 Actualization of the Strategic Plan and Integrated Development Plan of the Town Klášterec nad Ohří

The project included the actualization of the Strategic Development Plan of the Town of Klášterec nad Ohří and the subsequent preparation of the Integrated Development Plan with the fund strategy.

 Integrated Development Plan of the Statutory Town of České Budějovice

Within this project, MEPCO prepared a strategic document in the form of an “urban programme document for drawing resources from EU funds”, i.e. the Integrated Urban Development Plan, which namely included: the analysis of possibilities of financing development projects, linking the national and regional documents with the strategy of the Town, creating the linked (integrated) priorities, i.e. “project packages”, which fit the vision of development of the town, and the proposal for the implementation structure.

The project included the elaboration of the Strategic Plan of the Town of Uherské Hradiště Up to the Year 2020.

Large Integrated Project: Chomutov, Most   

Within the preparations for the new programming period of the structural funds, the statutory representatives of the towns of Chomutov and Most pondered the possibility of a shared procedure, which would be a great integrated project that would cover the communal development of the area affected by mining activities and other heavy industries. The towns searched for common methods and synergic strategies for the revitalization process. MEPCO performed the analyses of the area, analyses of the public opinion, conception proposals for the integrated urban development plan, including its organization and securing.

Revaluation of the Strategy of the Town Vsetín

V rámci projektu byla vyškolena skupina zastupitelů a vedoucích odborů v oblasti nejrůznějších přístupů k rozvoji strategických dokumentů. Pro měření kvality práce zaměstnanců MÚ s ohledem na průzkum spokojenosti občanů se životem ve městě byla vybrána a následně implementována metoda BSC (Balanced Scorecard).
