 Technology Park in Celje

The Regional Development Agency in Celje launched the process of preparation of an extensive integrated project of the municipal and regional development worth 400 million Euro in total. The project included the construction of a technology park of the total area of 50 thousand sq. m. MEPCO, thanks to its experience with technology centres and pro-investment policy in the Czech Republic, was invited as a foreign consultant of the design.

 Development of the Czech – Saxony Innovation Potential

The VITEC project (INTERREG IIIA) involved the elaboration of a study of activities, which were designed with the aim to unroll the innovation potential of the co-operation between the Czech Republic and Saxony. While there is an existing and advanced network of technology parks and centres for transfer of technologies on the Saxon side, these instruments of regional development, so much needed for the development of knowledge economics, indeed are only scarce and rarely employed in the Czech Republic. MEPCO has resumed the previous work on the Action Plan for the Regional Innovation Strategy, and on the Integrated Urban Development Plan of the Town of Ústí nad Labem, which has already been processed, in order to prepare a pilot study for the Technology Park in the Ústí nad Labem region.

 Science and Technology Park Jihlava

The project focused namely on the development of capacities in research and science, including science infrastructure and human capital within the fields notable for their significant growth potential.

 Feasibility Study – Spolchemie a.s.

The aim of the study was to check up on the possibility of strengthening the competitiveness of the company Spolchemie a.s., using the instruments of regional development defined in the programmes of the agency CzechInvest and the Structural Funds.

 CEVTECH

Private landowners of unused and depressing zones, i.e. the so-called Brownfields, were eager to take advantage of these zones. They joined forces with the town of Soběslav (owner of the Greenfield) and with the Regional Development Agency of South Bohemia. The company MEPCO, together with its partners, analysed the regional strategy and the development conception of the Centre for Ecology and Water Technologies. Subsequently, feasibility studies were elaborated, including the applications for the ERDF (European Regional Development Fund). The project continued by forming clusters of innovation businesses engaged in water treatment.
